No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu · Submission Grappling · Kids & Adults

Highly technical. Individual attention. A safe, friendly environment.

Rokah Karate offers No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu — submission grappling — for kids and adults, taught by world-class instructor Felipe Werdum, in the same supportive, safe culture as every class in the dojo.

The Instructor

Taught by Felipe Werdum.

Felipe Werdum is the MMA coach to his brother Fabricio Werdum — former UFC Heavyweight Champion and Jiu-Jitsu World Champion. With Felipe’s experience coaching fighters at the very highest level, students here learn techniques proven where it matters most.

Jiu-Jitsu allows a smaller person to overcome someone bigger and stronger — technique over strength, the same principle that governs everything taught in this dojo.

The No-Gi format is especially applicable to MMA and real-world self-defense — which is why this program pairs naturally with both our karate training and the new MMA class launching September 4.

The Program

All levels. Minimal strength. Maximum technique.

Classes suit every skill level, with an emphasis on optimal technique using minimal strength. Training is always supportive, non-competitive, fun, and safe — an ideal environment for complete beginners and experienced grapplers alike.

Private one-on-one Jiu-Jitsu sessions with Felipe are also available for students who want focused attention and faster progress.
